What I Do.

Vision &
Strategy.

I see what's golden and what's broken before the initiative takes shape, then work as architect, builder, or both—refining the blueprint as the rubber meets the road.

& Event Design.

I understand why some programs thrive while others disappear—so I keep an eye on the big picture and every detail that makes it work.

I lead with what moves people, then create systems that turn inspiration into sustained engagement and ongoing support.

My Approach

I see what's missing.
Then I build it with you.

I don't simply observe from outside—I execute alongside you. I'm an artist who's run organizations with 30 years of embedded cultural experience, so I don't translate between creative and institutional worlds—I inhabit both. That's why the programs I design flourish and the systems I build endure.

How We Work Together

I work with one or two primary clients at a time—transformation requires presence, not divided attention.

Strategic Partnerships
(6-12 months)

Sustained collaboration on transformational initiatives—redesigning grantmaking systems, building new programs or invigorating existing ones, creating cross-sector partnerships, expanding capacity. We work together regularly, refining strategy as conditions evolve.

Focused Projects
(2-4 months)

Targeted execution with clear deliverables—visioning work, grant application strategy, program design, fundraising campaigns, exhibition development, event production. Focused collaboration within a defined timeline.

Advisory Sessions
(Single session or short-term)

Strategic consultation on specific challenges—positioning for funders, narrative development, valuable feedback, tactical planning. Direct guidance when you need a trusted outside perspective.

Investment reflects three decades of experience plus demonstrated impact. You work directly with me—deep focus on what matters most.

What You Get

Systems that last decades, not grant cycles. Artists holding real decision-making power. Programming that bridges demographic divides. Revenue generation during crisis. Infrastructure others replicate because it works.

"During his 14-year tenure with Young@Heart, Mark's accomplishments were many. His greatest strength is facilitating profound connections through art—between individuals, organizations, and communities. Young@Heart remains deeply grateful for his extensive work, which fundamentally changed both our organization and the people within it."
